Traditions - Annual Open House & Field Day
Two of the Golf Schools' most salient traditions are the "Open
House" which is held on the third Thursday evening in April
and the "Field Day" which occurs on the third Sunday in
October. While one serves to begin the golf season, the other portends
the ending of another year of golf. In any case, these annual social
events have afforded our students a great deal of fun and camaraderie
over the years.
Open House
Thursday evening, April 10th, 2008 at 7:00 PM in the function
hall at the Billerica Country Club. Any golf school student, past
or present, and their guests are welcome to attend at no cost.
- hors d'oeuvres
- drawing of golf related items such as private
lessons, school
tuitions, golf
equipment, and greens
fees.
- a presentation of the season's programs affords the students
an opportunity to sign up for instruction, leagues,
and tournaments.
New friends are made and old friendships are renewed. What an
excellent way to begin a new season of golf!!

morning or afternoon scramble.
All golf students, past and present, and anyone they would like
to invite are eligible to attend. This fun-filled day of golf, with
many prizes to be won, typically attracts over 200 players each
year which necessitates closing the golf course for the day. Don't
put those clubs away after the field day! November and December
can still provide some good golfing weather, less crowded conditions,
and lower green fees.
And don't forget to come to the Winter
Indoor Golf location which includes our indoor
range and putting green at the Billerica Mall. Keep working on
those
golf skills all winter long!
