Special Olympic golf instruction and training
has been a very special part of the Barrie Bruce Golf School
for the last 6 years. These programs take place during the
winter months at the School’s facility in the Billerica
Mall. The Spring/Summer/Fall sessions take place at the Country
Club of Billerica. Ball striking skills and on-course instruction
are the main ingredients. The objective of the program is
to ready the athletes to be able to participate in local and
state Special Olympic tournaments. Keith Peabody of Wilmington,
one of our alumni, has gone on to become a winner in the National
Special Olympics Tournament held in Point St. Lucie, FL at
the PGA facility located there.
